Password requirements
What makes a valid Cryolynx password, and how to choose a strong one.
Your Cryolynx password must be at least 12 characters long and contain all of the following:
- An uppercase letter
- A lowercase letter
- A digit
- A symbol, for example
!@#$
It must also use at least four different characters.
Choosing a good one
- Use a password you have never used on any other site. Reused passwords are the single most common way accounts are taken over.
- Longer beats complicated. A long passphrase with a digit and a symbol is both stronger and easier to remember.
- Use a password manager if you can.
- Never share it. Cryolynx staff will never ask you for your password, your 2FA code, or your recovery codes.
A password on its own is not enough — turn on two-factor authentication as well.
