Beneficiaries — who receives your crypto

Choose who your crypto is paid to if you pass away.

Your beneficiary is the person you nominate to receive the crypto in your Cryolynx account if you pass away. A beneficiary is not a saved withdrawal address — it is who your holdings go to. You can nominate one beneficiary, and they receive 100% of your holdings.

Before you add someone

Your beneficiary must have their own verified Cryolynx account. Cryolynx can only pay out to a Cryolynx account that has completed identity verification (KYC). Enter their name, identity number, email address and phone number exactly as they appear on that account.

Setting them up

Go to Beneficiaries. Beneficiaries are managed on the Cryolynx website.
Add the person you want to receive your crypto. They receive 100% of it — there is no split to set.
Edit your beneficiary at any time from the same page, or remove them and nominate someone else.

What happens if you pass away

A certified copy of the legal death certificate is uploaded to Cryolynx.
Cryolynx verifies the certificate.
Once verified, your account is locked — nothing further can be traded, converted or withdrawn.
Your crypto is paid over in full to your beneficiary's Cryolynx account.

Keep your beneficiary up to date. A beneficiary without a verified Cryolynx account cannot be paid until they open and verify one, so check their details after any change to their name, email address or phone number.
